Pre-Owned Designer Bags

Secondhand bags out of Japan tend to arrive in better condition than the same grade sourced elsewhere. Bags are commonly kept in their dust bag, used in rotation rather than daily, and stored out of sunlight. That is a habit, not a claim, and it shows up in the corners and the hardware.

Where the stock comes from

Dealer auctions and established domestic wholesalers. Those auctions require a secondhand dealer licence to enter, which is what gives us access to the flow rather than to the shop window.

How authenticity is handled

The guarantee is the auction house one, and we pass it through rather than restate it as ours. The major houses run inspection desks and stand behind what they sell. You receive their assurance and their documentation as issued. Where a buyer wants an independent opinion we arrange it separately and at cost, which we think is more useful than a seller assuring you of their own expertise.

Reading the grade

S through C, applied strictly. The parts of a bag that decide the grade are corner wear, hardware plating, handle darkening and the state of the lining. We photograph all four on every piece, because those are the areas a buyer will check first and the areas a summary grade hides.

Practical notes

  • Accessories matter less than on watches but still matter. Dust bag, detachable strap and authenticity card affect resale. We list what is included.
  • Liquidity varies by model, not only by brand. Some references move quickly at almost any grade; others sit unless they are near mint. We will tell you which side a piece falls on before you commit.
  • Exotic materials. Bags using protected species are subject to CITES and cannot simply be shipped. We check the material before purchase, not after.

Tell us the brands, models and grade range you can sell, and whether you want single pieces or parcels. We will send photographs and the auction paperwork.
